Do not bring into Mexico any kind of fruits, meat, poultry, ham or prepared dishes, plants, live animals considered as endangered species, more than US$10,000.00 in cash, guns and drugs. After you pass the immigration counter you'll be stopped at a customs checkpoint to verify your custom declaration and baggage revision. If you are transporting illegal items they will be confiscated by the government, eventually you could be taken to jail if you are transporting guns or drugs. If you need to take special medication based on forbidden drugs please we strongly suggest you to bring the original prescription issued by your physician, it must contain his/her license ID number and phone numbers.
